Since 1977, the Crime Victims Treatment Center has been helping survivors of interpersonal violence heal. Our support comes in the forms of crisis intervention, individual and group trauma-focused therapy, legal advocacy, complementary therapy, psychiatric consultation, prevention training and community education
Position Summary:
The clinician in this position provides trauma-focused individual therapy in both English and Spanish to adult survivors of sexual assault, domestic violence, childhood sexual abuse, gun violence and other forms of interpersonal violence, while also facilitating psychoeducational and process-oriented therapy groups. The role includes conducting intakes and psychosocial assessments, presenting cases in multidisciplinary staff meetings, maintaining accurate clinical records and offering crisis intervention, advocacy, and referrals across mental health, medical, legal and community systems. Additional responsibilities include delivering professional trainings on trauma-informed care, contributing to prevention, intervention and outreach initiatives for survivors of interpersonal violence, and supervising social work and/or mental health counseling interns as assigned. The clinician demonstrates a strong commitment to the philosophy, standards, and mission of the Crime Victims Treatment Center, Inc., with a particular focus on supporting Spanish-speaking survivors of violence.
