Job Description

The Association to Benefit Children (ABC) is dedicated to ensuring that every child has a joyful, healthy, and safe life through compassionate and innovative programs since 1986.


ABC’s Mental Health Programs strive to provide equity and social justice in mental health. Our Fast Break Article 31 Clinic in the Bronx is seeking a full time Clinical Supervisor to join our growing team. Our talented team consists of licensed therapists and parent advocates, and is overseen by ABC’s Board-certified Child Psychiatrist and a senior-level LCSW.

Job Responsibilities

Under the direction of the Director of Mental Health Clinics, the clinical supervisor will:


Supervisory Duties:

  • Provide direct weekly supervision to clinical staff, both licensed and permitted
  • Provide oversight on all documentation for assigned therapists, including reviewing and signing progress notes, treatment plans, discharge summaries, and supervisory case reviews
  • Maintain accurate documentation of weekly supervision and team meetings
  • Be available to staff for consultation on challenging client issues and clinical emergencies


Direct Services:

  • Conduct evaluations & diagnostic assessments for incoming clients
  • Maintain a small clinical caseload of children to remain current in practice & technique
  • Participate in on-call rotation as a supervisor


Job Qualifications

Qualifications:


  • Candidate must be an LCSW
  • Computer proficiency and comfort using technology
  • Experience providing clinical services to children and families
  • Bilingual English Spanish is highly desired
  • SIFI Certification a plus but not required (We are prepared to train new supervisors!)
