Liberation-Based Therapy LCSW, PLLC is a psychotherapeutic group practice focused on supporting mental health and wellness through the lens of liberation-based healing practices. The practice serves everyone with a focus on BIPOC, immigrant communities / stories, LGBTQIA2S+ and intimate partnerships, including integrated families and open relationship structures. We work with creatives, artists, activists, individuals, couples, families, and small groups.
We believe that within the therapeutic process, we can center reassurance, relief, resistance; and ways toward rest and creative activism. These ideals can be considerations for all of us to feel more connected to ourselves and our relationships. This position includes providing diagnosis, mental status, direct treatment, performing client intake and assessments, developing treatment plans, and guiding the treatment process for clients toward a natural ending. The psychotherapist must be able to guide themselves with the code of ethics; adhering to client confidentiality standards, continued therapeutic training in their area of interest; participate in individual as well as group supervision. To foster greater client empowerment, all direct psychotherapy treatment duties are to be carried out through a client-centered, liberation-based perspective using evidence-based treatment modalities.
