Ella Kreydina Psychotherapy, LCSW PLLC is a small independent private psychotherapy practice based in Brooklyn. We concentrate on helping clients work through shame, anxiety and panic, relationship struggles, burnout, trauma, and life transitions, using a compassion driven, emotion-focused and psychodynamic lens.
This is a clinical training position for an LMSW who wants to deepen their psychotherapy skills in a close-knit setting. The LMSW will carry an individual therapy caseload that grows over time to 20 clients and receive weekly supervision. The LMSW will take part in the full life of the practice as well as learn how to foster your own practice identity with the intention of leaving and taking these clients and establishing their own entity once fully licensed.
Provide individual psychotherapy to a caseload that builds to 19-25 clients per week.
Conduct intake assessments and collaborate on diagnostic impressions and treatment plans.
Write timely, accurate progress notes and treatment plans in the practice EHR.
Prepare for and actively use supervision in an appropriate manner.
Active New York State LMSW license.
Eligibility to practice under supervision toward the LCSW,
Strong foundation in clinical assessment, risk assessment, and ethical practice.
This role is designed to prepare you to one day run a practice of your own. You will be mentored and be able to build a practice you will be invested in, not just handed a caseload. Over time, you can expect to learn the business foundations: how to set up a PLLC, choose an office, and handle liability insurance, taxes, and bookkeeping, insurance and fees: how in-network and out-of-network practice work, credentialing with insurance panels, and how to set and discuss fees, getting referrals: building a professional presence, creating a Psychology Today profile etc.
You will be informed in a detailed manner on the ins and outs of running the front end and back end including: intake processes, scheduling, cancellation policies, and client communication.
Sustaining the work will be focused on, specifically managing your caseload, setting boundaries, and preventing burnout. Complete control over scheduling and position is fully remote, however if you are interested in person sessions that can be arranged. Time off is at your discretion.
Comprehensive and fully rounded intentional supervision from a provider who is interested in cultivating growth. We will map out your path together, with check-ins on your clinical and professional goals. My hope is that you leave this role clinically confident and ready to build the practice you want.
